WASHINGTON—Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton, a New Jersey-based hospital, has agreed to pay $6.35 million to settle allegations that the hospital defrauded Medicare, the Justice Department announced today. Two lawsuits filed against the Hamilton, N.J., facility alleged that the hospital fraudulently inflated its charges to Medicare patients to obtain larger reimbursements from the federal health care program.

Representatives of the Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force met in Miami on February 24th, 2010 for the first of a series of Mortgage Fraud Summits. Nigerian National Charged with Attempting to Destroy Northwest Airlines Aircraft
A 23-year-old Nigerian man was charged in a federal criminal complaint on 12/26/09 with attempting to destroy a Northwest Airlines aircraft on its final approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Christmas Day and with placing a destructive device on the aircraft.
